He would just give us a note package and "go-over" examples with us, meaning that he would do the examples himself while you copy everything down. I remember asking him a question about the formula and all he did was describe what it said in the textbook. The worst was when he gave us back our tests and all he told us was to discuss the answers and steps amongst ourselves.
I learned a lot from Mr.Chang, and I'm not sure why some people aren't very fond of his teaching style. But I love it!
Starts "teaching" the class when half of us were paying our fees, doesn't teach at ALL just sit there goes over the powerpoint like we're all suppose to know how to do it.
those who are complementing chang you guys should be ashamed of yourselves. HE DOES NOT TEACH. He likes to go on with lectures that are least helpful. If you have him BE PREPARED TO NOT LEARN ANYTHING IN HIS CLASS. Those who know what's in the course already should have no problem, but if you don't you are on your own because this guy just can't teach. His excuse is university is worse, but the fact is he doesn't realize he himself can't teach.
AWESOME : ) Whenever he's not in his room, check Mr. Young's.
A lot of these responses seem bias, but i think he is a solid, not great teacher. I had him for 3 years in math, and the tests were always difficult. If you score poorly on a test and talk to him, he usually doesnt have a problem allowing a rewrite, as long as you show effort in class. His lessons were too lecture based for me, i had issues learning off his powerpoint. He explains stuff, but you need to do the homework to fully understand. Cares about his favourites, who are usually the really smart kids :p
He is a great teacher and understands exactly what he is teaching and how to teach it. He is lenient about some things but I have to admit his tests can get hard at times. However, being a hard teacher isn't a bad thing. In Mr. Chang's case, it makes him a great teacher.
He's the best teacher I've ever had; he treats his students like people and not stupid kids. He teaching skills are pretty good; not too slow and not too fast, he tries to make sure everyone understands. His tests can be a be tricky though, but in the end, when you find out the solution, its actually quite simple.
Cool guy, pretty nice, and pretty lax about alot of things like test and make-up dates and such. Only problem really are his tests which can be pretty detailed and hard.
i havn't had him as a teacher, but we both went on the europe trip together .he' s a really nice guy and easy to talk to.
He is one of my favorite teachers. After tests we can play cards in the halls and just hang out and get our minds off the test. As long as you listen in class he doesn't seem to mind what you do. He is really nice and knows his stuff really well. He can mark hard sometimes but he is great to talk to and just hang out with when you have nothing to do in class. He isn't all serious. You will laugh a lot in his class and doesn't mind when you come to visit him. With Mr. Chang not everythings about math. WOOT!!
knows his stuff....but marks hard.....really helpful though
i don't have him for math, but he seems super cool! my class and his class played a game, and he always encouraged me, haha. he always seems cheery and never gives out homework.
A good teacher. Explains everything and easy to talk to. Lots of laughs in his class, he's one of my favourite teachers. Doesn't give too much homework either.
He's a cool teacher, but i don't really think he likes me...=/
I love this guy. He made math class so much fun, I actually didn't dread it.
nice, interesting and fun. his test are hard though.
i onli got him 4 summer school n it was 4 gr 9 preview but he's awesome!! any1 remember his lil keychain: I love math? haha hes great!
mr. chang is lik one of the best math teachers ever... he is such a great help, especially wen u have hard questions to bug him with.
