While only a parent of one of her students, she has turned my bright child into someone who hates her class. There are a number of students that think that she is demeaning, and rude (as mentioned prev). While multiple attempts were made to contact her, she will not reply. In addition, the principle staff are unwilling to do anything about her inappropriate actions. While teachers and schools are wear the "anti-bullying" banner...they are unwilling to do anything about teachers who bully.

I really liked Ms. Shallhorn as a teacher, although I had heard bad things beforehand. You really do need to get on her good side though or else you're in trouble. Though I don't think it was so difficult to do that. I learned a lot in her class!

She'd probably be a decent teacher if she didn't just leave in the middle of class and expect us to learn everything ourselves. More importantly, where does she go? And what is she doing?

thinks shes the ruler of the classroom. She WILL do her best to fail you if you do not agree with her. Pointless assignments. Sends students to the office for absolutely NO REASON.

She seems all right as a person, but she doesn't explain very well. Her due dates are totally ridiculous--she will assign a persuasive paragraph, researched and with 2 copies(!) to be done in 1 night.

Kind of contradicting...sometimes she acts like an awsome teacher and sometimes she deserves to be fired...I really didn't like the way she marked though.

I suspect that she's a decent human being, but she's a lackluster teacher prone toward laziness in assignments. She's more of a teenager than some of us.
