Grades based on his feelings towards you. If he likes you you will get an amazing grade, but if he doesn't he will find a reason to lower your mark. Do not get on his bad side and you will be fine, but if you do one thing wrong you will be. Also very passionate about history, so if you like history you will like his course.

He's too passionate about his own opinion about certain things and scares me with his random outbursts! Plus he gets upset whenever someone corrects him or disagrees with him.

I really liked him. I've had him for civics and he kept me awake although not many other teachers have managed to do so. He is very very funny, and unlike many, he knows what he is doing and teaches in an interesting way. I really wish he was my history teacher this year!!

He's corrupt. He bases grades off of your behavior in class. For mid-terms, my mark was only based on a short paragraph and a battle display board.

Absolutely In-F*****ingsane. When discussing the on going war in the middle east he suggested we should simply flatten it. However, insane people are interesting, and if he likes you, and you do what he asks, youll get along

The most hardcore teacher ever. This guy doesn't screw around and even takes a complete joke of a course like civics dead seriously. Rules over the class with an iron fist and is very strict about talking, etc.

An OK teacher. Do not expect really high marks in his classes. Marks are usually within really narrow range (70s to 80s) in his classes. But OK teahcer overall.

Hoyt is one of the best high school teachers around. His Gr.12 World Issues course really helps you gain an international perspective of the news. You can tell that his teaching job is 2nd to his family life.

Only teacher to ever keep me interested and only one who could hold my attention by story telling alone!!! Plus he gave me an extra chance that most teachers wouldn't!
